It was while solving Towers of Hanoi that I really fell in love with abstract math. At the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Camp math program, I got hooked on finding algorithms to solve puzzles. I continued this passion by reading Fermat's Enigma by Simon Singh. I was fascinated by the quest to solve Fermat's Last Theorem, which states that no three positive integers a, b, and c satisfy the equation a^n + b^n = c^n for any integer value of n greater than two.
