I’ve long wanted to know why I stuttered with a nine-year-old brain but not with a thirteen-year-old brain. One summer, I had the opportunity to use EEG machines to measure signals from the brain and correlate them to certain letters in the alphabet. The experience made me realize I have even more questions about the brain that I’d like to answer, and UIUC’s dynamic cognitive psychology and neuroscience program is the best place for me to get those answers.
