In a discreet wooden box lay my memories as Polaroids captured by my dad. Unlike most, our eyes don’t serve as the ultimate testament to our experiences because my dad and I suffer from congenital nystagmus, a condition of involuntary and uncontrollable eye movement that distorts vision. We therefore rely on his Polaroid Sun 600 to capture and stabilize our memories. In other words, Polaroid pictures symbolize long-term memories stored for later access.
