My mom is always screaming. But she’s affectionate, not angry, as she yells over the phone to my grandmother, who lives in India. Amamma’s hearing has weakened, yet she still abhors her hearing aids due to their high cost and discomfort. My grandmother's dilemma led me to discover biomedical engineering.
