Being a student at Little Rock Central High, I take great pride in the fact that our school remains a key symbol of the Civil Rights movement. I am motivated daily by the thought of the Little Rock Nine walking into our school, their heads held high above all the hate and hostility both outside and inside. It is a reminder that positive change doesn’t just happen. It comes through sustained and brave work over a long period.
